About The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (PHP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale modern web applications using PHP (Laravel) and React. Beyond coding, you will mentor team members, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel) and React.
• Write clean, efficient, testable, and secure code following best practices.
• Solve complex technical challenges with scalable and innovative solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding, performance, and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Design) to deliver features on time.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and long-term scalability planning.
• Support leadership in risk assessment, task prioritisation, and delivery planning.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing large-scale business applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in PHP with strong experience in Laravel.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design principles, and design patterns.
• Strong database skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with query optimisation experience.
• Proficiency in front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHP Unit, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and tools like Jira/Confluence.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor others.
