Job Summary

The Spray Foam Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing the preparation and installation of spray foam insulation in both residential and commercial settings. This hands-on leadership role involves managing job site activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and mentoring crew members. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction or trades, strong technical skills, and a passion for building energy-efficient environments.

Key Responsibilities Installation & Application

• Install spray foam insulation in compliance with project specifications and industry best practices.
• Prepare job sites by masking off windows, doors, flooring, and other areas to protect from overspray.
• Operate spray equipment, airless sprayers, compressors, and other power tools safely and effectively.

Site Leadership

• Lead a small team of installers, providing direction, training, and quality oversight.
• Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections to ensure proper application and client satisfaction.
• Estimate and report material usage and contribute to job planning with supervisors.

Safety & Quality

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite at all times.
• Uphold OSHA 30 and company safety policies, including PPE use and confined space protocols.
• Identify and address issues related to air sealing, mold, or mild environmental hazards.

Customer Interaction

• Represent B. Alpha Construction with professionalism on every job.
• Communicate clearly with customers and supervisors about job progress, expectations, and any site-related concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience in spray foam closed cell (2 part foam/Insulation). High pressure.
• Familiarity with airless paint spraying and power tool usage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in residential & Commercial attics, basements, and crawl spaces.

Required Certifications & Skills

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Highly Required).
• OSHA 10 certification (Required).
• OSHA 30 certification (Preferred).
• Basic Air Sealing and Insulation skills (Preferred).
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (oral and written skills preferred).

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while navigating stairs and uneven surfaces.
• Comfortable working in hot/cold conditions, confined spaces (<2 ft), and heights over 10 feet using ladders, scaffolding, or rooftops.
• Must be able to work in dusty or mildly contaminated environments (mold/mildew present).
• Regular use of hand and power tools including hammers, utility knives, tape measures, and circular saws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
