About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality SaaS products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, designers, and customer support teams to ensure our web applications are reliable, scalable, and deliver an exceptional user experience.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience testing modern SaaS applications, thrives in Agile development environments, and takes ownership of quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will play a key role in establishing and improving QA processes, identifying potential issues before they reach customers, and ensuring every release meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, end-to-end (E2E), and user acceptance (UAT) testing.
• Validate new features before release while ensuring existing functionality remains stable.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify bug fixes.
• Test responsive web applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.
• Test and validate REST APIs using Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Perform database validation and data integrity checks when required.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation sessions, and release planning.
• Assist with release verification and post-deployment validation.
• Reproduce, investigate, and verify customer-reported issues in collaboration with Customer Support and Product teams.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing standards, documentation, and overall testing strategy.
• Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Contribute to building a quality-first engineering culture by sharing best practices and mentoring junior QA team members when needed.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Software Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience testing SaaS web applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Experience creating detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Hands-on experience performing:
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke Testing
• Integration Testing
• Exploratory Testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Cross-browser Testing
• Responsive Testing
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging and testing.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or Linear.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated UI and API test suites.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications or LLM-based features.
• Experience testing payment workflows, subscription billing systems, and SaaS licensing.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or DigitalOcean.
• Experience with performance, load, or stress testing tools.
• Understanding of application security testing fundamentals.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Experience working with authentication systems such as OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Experience testing Stripe or other online payment gateways.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with browser automation tools.
• Experience in mobile responsive and accessibility testing.
