Senior Structure design Engineer

EGEC Qatar is looking for a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and technical excellence of projects from concept design through construction and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural design strategies, pre-concept studies, and detailed structural designs aligned with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Review structural calculations, consultant and contractor submissions, including drawings, RFIs, material submittals, technical documents, and invoices.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Monitor consultant and contractor performance to ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding structural issues, design modifications, and construction methodologies.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and support technical decision-making throughout all project phases.
• Review and endorse completion certificates, handover documentation, and as-built submissions for structural works.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and PMC/construction projects.
• Strong experience in large-scale commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure developments.
• Excellent knowledge of structural analysis, design standards, and construction practices.
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software and project coordination tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international consultants and contractors is an advantage.
• Professional certifications are considered a plus.
