Position: Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Owner Side)

Job Purpose
The Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Projects supports the successful delivery of major capital mining projects by executing and coordinating project‑specific supply chain and procurement activities on the owner side. The role focuses on detailed planning, sourcing, expediting, logistics coordination, and supplier performance management to ensure materials, equipment, and services are delivered in line with project cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
Working under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager – Projects, the role acts as a key interface with EPC/M and service provider contractors, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal project stakeholders to proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with corporate governance, HSE standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
• Execute project supply chain and procurement plans in alignment with approved project schedules, budgets, and stage‑gate (FEL / execution) requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day procurement activities for assigned project packages, long‑lead items (LLIs), bulk materials, and services, from requisition through delivery.
• Support bid evaluations, technical and commercial clarifications, contract awards, and purchase order administration in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor supplier and EPC/M and service provider contractors’ performance, including expediting, manufacturing progress, inspections, logistics, and delivery to site.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Controls, Construction, and PMO teams to ensure alignment between design maturity, procurement actions, and site requirements.
• Track and report supply chain KPIs related to schedule adherence, delivery performance, expediting status, and procurement risks.
• Identify and escalate supply chain risks and issues (long‑lead delays, logistics constraints, vendor performance) and support mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, ethical standards, HSE requirements, local content programs, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement, logistics, and materials records within ERP and project systems.
• Support claims avoidance and dispute resolution by maintaining clear documentation and timely communication with contractors and suppliers.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) are an advantage.
Minimum Experience:
• 6–10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or materials management.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large capital projects, preferably in mining, minerals processing, heavy industry, or energy.
• Experience working on the owner side or interfacing with EPC/M contractors is a strong advantage.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of project supply chain and procurement processes, including long‑lead items and bulk materials.
• Practical experience in expediting, logistics coordination, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Solid commercial awareness, including contract terms, payment milestones, and change management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and project reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams and external contractors.
