Senior System Administrator.IT Operation & Infrastructure

Job Purpose

To assure highest level of Systems availability and to maintain the Systems & Data integrity, security and best Systems performance. To plan and develop the backup strategies assuring the best Systems recovery time.

Report To Position Name

Enhance the Systems Performance to assure using the servers & Storage resources in the most efficient way.  Enhance Systems Security to support the data confidentiality and privacy.  Plan and implement the Systems upgrades and patches installation to assure of using the latest available technologies and avoiding the known bugs.  Plan and follow up the Systems preventive maintenance activities and regular health checks.  Monitor and assure the Systems availability to extremely minimize the unplanned down time.  Set and implement the proper Backup and recovery strategy to avoid any data loss and recover in the best possible time slot.  Play the Second level support role to help and assist the Database Administrators , applications support, the operation and the development teams for the issues concerning connecting to/running Systems that hosts applications  Plan, evaluate, install and configure any new Hardware or feature related to the Systems infrastructure.  Document the Systems infrastructure and maintain it up to date.  Coach the team mates and share the gained Knowledge to assure the ability to run the systems in the best way and enrich the team knowledgeCustomer Centricity : Ensures those teams members create a positive internal customer experience and related touch points. QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

Essential Qualifications and Experience  BS in Telecommunications & Electronics Engineering, Computer science or equivalent.  Minimum 5 Years experience in using and administrating Unix Systems preferred Sun Microsystems.  Min 2 Years backup and Recovery experience using Netbackup or Legato  Experience in Sun Servers & EMC Storage Hardware implementation, management and updates  Solaris/AIX/HP-UX/Linux Performance tuning experience  Good Knowledge and understanding of Sun Cluster  Good knowledge of Shell Scripting.  Highly motivated and competent with decision-making ability  Very good communication and documentation skills  Team work spirit

QUALIFICATIONS_DESIRABLE

Experience in Sun Cluster with Oracle RAC and QFS  Experience in EMC and/or HDS Storage  Experience in Backup & Archiving Solutions  Experience in SAN, NAS, and DAS with good knowledge in managing fabrics

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

Solaris /AIX /HP-UX/Linux Essentials  Solaris /AIX/HP-UX/Linux System Administration  Solaris System Network Administration  Shell Scripting  Sun Certified Solaris Administration.

EXPERIENCE_DESIRABLE

 Solaris Performance Tuning  Solaris Security  Sun Cluster Administration  Sun Cluster with Oracle RAC  Netbackup or Legato networker training  EMC DMX management with ECC  HDS management with hi-track
