Job Responsibilities:
Data Center Operations:

Monitor the data center environment, including temperature, power, and humidity levels, and take appropriate actions to maintain optimal conditions.

Maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and related components.

Plan and execute equipment installations, upgrades, and decommissions, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Implement and maintain effective security measures and protocols to safeguard data center assets and protect against unauthorized access.
Virtual Infrastructure Management:

Maintain virtualization technologies, including VMware and private cloud (VCF) environments.

Plan and implement virtual infrastructure upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
-
Monitor virtualization performance and capacity, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Storage Systems and Backup Management:

Maintain different types of storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and block storage.

Implement and maintain backup solutions to ensure data integrity and recoverability.

Coordinate with vendors to procure and deploy storage systems and backup infrastructure.
Infrastructure Planning and Projects:

Plan and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, including space, power, and cooling requirements.

Participate in infrastructure planning and expansion projects, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of the data center.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) plans and procedures, including regular testing and updates.

Coordinate and execute DR drills and exercises to validate recovery capabilities and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure critical systems and data are adequately protected and recoverable in the event of a disaster.

Ensure the availability and effectiveness of backup and replication systems.
Capacity Planning and Resource Management:

Monitor and analyze data center capacity and performance metrics, identifying potential bottlenecks and making recommendations for improvements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and forecast future data center needs.

Plan and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, including space, power, and cooling requirements.

Maintain inventory and asset management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of equipment and software licenses.
Minimum Qualification:
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum from 3 to 5 years of experience in data center management
-
Virtualization Expertise: Proven expertise in virtual infrastructure, including VMware and OpenShift.

Storage Management: Experience in various storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and Block Storage from Dell & HP.

Backup Systems: Familiarity with backup systems and disaster recovery planning.

HCI Experience: Hands-on experience with hyper-converged infrastructure, with a focus on Nutanix and VXRail.

Security Knowledge: Understanding of security measures and compliance requirements for data centers.
