SENIOR/SUPERVISOR - Talent Acquisition Specialist (Marine)

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the organization’s workforce needs. The role involves managing the full recruitment cycle and ensuring a qualified maritime and offshore personnel, including crew for vessels such as FPSOs, offshore support vessels (OSVs), dredgers, and other marine units.
Key Responsibilities - Marine Recruitment & Sourcing
- Identify manpower requirements for marine and offshore projects
- Source candidates for positions such as:
- Master / Captain
- Chief Engineer
- Marine Engineer
- ETO (Electro-Technical Officer)
- Deck Officers / Ratings / Deckhands
- Utilize databases, job portals, maritime networks, and crewing agencies
- Build and maintain a pool of ready-to-deploy seafarers
Screening & Compliance
- Review CVs and verify candidate experience in marine/offshore roles
- Check validity of:
- Seaman Book / CDC
- STCW certificates
- COC (Certificate of Competency)
- Medical fitness certificates
- Ensure candidates meet flag state and company requirements
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Marine/Crewing Managers for manpower planning
- Liaise with manning agencies and international recruitment partners
- Arrange interviews between candidates and technical teams
- Maintain strong relationships with seafarers and clients
Mobilization & Deployment
- Handle end-to-end mobilization process:
- Offer issuance and contract signing
- Visa processing and travel arrangements
- Crew rotation planning
- Ensure timely joining of crew as per vessel schedule
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain crew database and recruitment trackers
- Prepare reports on hiring status and crew availability
- Ensure compliance with maritime laws, MLC standards, and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in marine recruitment / crewing / offshore hiring
- Strong knowledge of maritime certifications and documentation
- Experience handling international recruitment
