Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax CPA to provide expert tax preparation, compliance, and strategic advisory services for a diverse client base. This role involves managing complex tax matters, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in tax planning, estate planning, and corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations
• Provide strategic tax planning and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements
• Develop and advise on estate planning strategies, including wills and trusts
• Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial statements to optimize tax positions
• Manage tax matters related to mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage Accounting for bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet review, and general ledger analysis
• Assist with audit procedures and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) where applicable

Qualifications

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Strong experience in tax preparation, tax planning, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of estate planning, non-profit accounting, and securities-related tax matters
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical, financial reporting, and communication skills
• Experience handling complex financial scenarios such as private equity, asset management, and mergers & acquisitions

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
