Senior Tax Accountant

A Senior Tax Accountant is needed on a direct hire basis for a well-established CPA firm located in the Bay Area. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and reviewing tax compliance and planning engagements for high-net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for:
• • High-net-worth individuals (1040)
  • Partnerships (1065)
• Conduct tax research
• Assist in managing client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and review work of junior tax staff and interns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IRS and state tax regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum three years of experience in tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Experience with complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx, GoSystem) and Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
