- Provide expert advice and technical support on the specification, installation, and compliance of steel and wood fire doors and associated door hardware to contractors, architects, and project managers.
- Prepare accurate quotations, technical submittals, and project proposals to secure commercial opportunities, ensuring alignment with the latest fire safety regulations and certifications.
- Interpret architectural drawings and building specifications, offering practical and compliant solutions that address client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to optimise product selections, quotations, and delivery timelines.
- Deliver clear technical presentations and support documentation to inform and influence decision makers within the construction and architectural sectors.
- Diagnose and resolve technical queries throughout a project’s lifecycle, ensuring effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of steel and wood fire door systems, including the function and certification of locks, closers, hinges, and access control hardware.
- Strong technical understanding of relevant regulations, including BS, EN, CE, and building control requirements for fire doorsets and ironmongery.
- Experience reviewing fire test evidence, certification, and compliance documentation for doors and hardware.
- Proficiency in interpreting detailed design and construction drawings, schedules, and hardware specifications.
- Competence with estimation and project management software as well as digital measurement and planning tools.
- Ability to present technical information and value propositions to a broad range of stakeholders in a clear, persuasive manner.
- Demonstrate effective selling strategies to win new business and negotiate contract terms for large and specialist projects.
