Senior Sales Trader | Muscat, Oman | Asset Management / Brokerage
An established asset management firm based in Muscat, Oman is seeking a high-performing Senior Sales Trader to join its growing Brokerage division. This is a senior front-office opportunity for an accomplished markets professional with a strong client network, commercial mindset, and proven ability to drive brokerage revenues across local and international markets.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Head of Brokerage, the successful candidate will play a key role in expanding client relationships, increasing assets under management and turnover, and delivering strategic market insights to a sophisticated client base.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive revenue growth through client acquisition, relationship management, and increased trading activity
• Provide clients with active trading ideas, short-term strategies, and tactical market opportunities
• Lead sales coverage across local and international institutional clients
• Build and manage relationships with institutional investors, HNWIs, family offices, and corporates
• Develop cross-border partnerships to expand market access and revenue channels
• Onboard new clients while ensuring full KYC / AML and regulatory compliance
• Present investment ideas, product opportunities, and cross-sell broader business capabilities
• Mentor junior sales professionals and support talent development
• Contribute to the launch of new products and strategic growth initiatives
Candidate Profile
• Minimum 10 years of experience within brokerage, asset management, investment banking, or private banking
• Strong existing client relationships across GCC and international markets preferred
• Deep understanding of equities and multi-asset markets
• Proven track record in revenue generation and client growth
• Strong technical and fundamental market analysis capabilities
• Commercially driven with strong relationship management skills
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring junior team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
• Professional qualifications (CFA, CISI, or equivalent) advantageous
