Senior Treasury Specialist

Cairo, Egypt

As a Treasury Senior Specialist, will be responsible for managing the organization's daily cash flow and liquidity positions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and treasury policies, and supporting the development and implementation of treasury strategies. You will work closely with various departments to forecast and manage working capital needs, maintain banking relationships, and support external audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage daily cash flow and liquidity positions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports and forecasts.
  • Maintain banking relationships and assist in opening, closing, and maintaining bank accounts.
  • Initiate and monitor electronic fund transfers (wires, ACH, etc.).
  • Support treasury accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and treasury policies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of treasury strategies to optimize cash usage and minimize financial risk.
  • Coordinate with accounts payable, receivable, and other departments to forecast and manage working capital needs.
  • Maintain records of banking documentation, signatories, and account structures.
  • Support external audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Utilize treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP software for reporting and analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in corporate treasury, banking, or finance.
  • Experience with treasury management systems and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kyriba) preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools beyond TMS and ERP, such as Bloomberg Terminal or financial data services.
  • Understanding of international financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing banking relationships and securing favorable terms.

Professional Development:

  • Consider obtaining certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) to enhance qualifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in treasury management through workshops, seminars, and professional networks.
