About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer with strong expertise in WordPress development and proven ability in project management and client handling. The ideal candidate will take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, lead a development team, and ensure the timely execution of high-quality, customized WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage WordPress development projects from planning to deployment.
• Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and functionalities based on client requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and account managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for junior developers.
• Manage client communication, gather requirements, and provide regular updates.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay up to date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience (custom themes & plugins).
• Strong background in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and REST APIs.
• Proven experience in leading projects, managing timelines, and handling clients.
• Familiarity with Git version control and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of website optimization (SEO, caching, performance tuning).
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an agency environment.
• Knowledge of page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) while being able to develop fully custom solutions.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of modern frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js) is a plus.
