Senior Wet Utilites Engineer Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of wet utility networks including sanitary wastewater, industrial wastewater, potable water, and storm drainage systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in design standards, modeling software, and authority regulations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation for wet utility networks (potable water, wastewater, storm drainage, and irrigation systems).
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis using software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET, and StormCAD.
- Develop master plans, layouts, and design reports in line with project specifications and Saudi authority standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (roads, structural, electrical, and environmental) to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Review and verify design submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority requirements such as NWC, MOMRA, RC, and SWCC.
- Provide technical support during tendering, construction, and value engineering stages.
Participate in client and coordination meetings to present design progress and resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience in wet utilities design, primarily within Saudi Arabia or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (AWWA, BS, EN, ASTM, and Saudi authority guidelines).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, and other hydraulic modeling tools.
- Good understanding of site conditions, constructability, and infrastructure integration.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and coordination skills.
- Experience with major infrastructure or urban development projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity with GIS-based utility mapping and BIM integration (Revit/Civil 3D).
- Professional registration (e.g., PE, PMP, or equivalent) is an advantage
