Senior WordPress Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer with strong expertise in custom theme development, plugin development, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of WordPress architecture and backend development, and will be capable of leading projects from concept to deployment while collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and clients.

You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance WordPress solutions while also guiding junior developers and maintaining high coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Perform advanced theme customization based on client and design requirements
• Develop and maintain custom plugins to extend WordPress functionality
• Communicate directly with clients to understand technical requirements and provide solutions
• Lead WordPress projects from planning, development, testing, to deployment
• Develop custom Gutenberg blocks and ACF-based solutions
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, and payment gateways
• Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical, security, and performance issues
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Mentor and support junior developers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Strong expertise in WordPress theme customization and plugin development
• Excellent client communication and requirement gathering skills
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep understanding of WordPress core architecture, hooks, actions, and filters
• Experience with Gutenberg block development
• Experience with ACF, WPML, WooCommerce
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and AJAX
• Experience using Git or other version control systems
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization
• Experience working with Linux servers, cPanel, or cloud hosting

Pay: From Rs1.00 per hour
