Core Responsibilities1. Supplier Sourcing & Development
- Identify and develop new suppliers of used clothing from global markets.
- Source materials from regions such as:
- Europe
- USA
- UK
- Canada
- Australia
- Middle East
- Build long-term relationships with sorting facilities and exporters.
- Maintain a supplier database.
2. Negotiation & Cost Management
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts.
- Secure competitive rates without compromising quality.
- Monitor global market trends affecting used clothing prices.
- Reduce procurement costs through strategic sourcing.
3. Quality Control
- Define quality standards for used clothing.
- Evaluate sample shipments before bulk orders.
- Coordinate inspection processes.
- Ensure consistency of grades (e.g., Cream, Grade A, B, Mixed).
4. Logistics & Import Coordination
- Coordinate shipments with logistics partners.
- Manage:
- Freight forwarders
- Shipping schedules
- Import documentation
- Ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipping costs and optimize routes.
5. Market Research
- Track availability of used clothing in different regions.
- Identify emerging sourcing markets.
- Monitor supply-demand trends.
- Evaluate supplier performance.
6. Risk & Supplier Management
- Assess supplier reliability.
- Maintain backup suppliers.
- Resolve disputes or supply delays.
- Ensure compliance with international trade standards.
7. Reporting & Planning
- Forecast material requirements.
- Prepare sourcing reports.
- Track supplier performance KPIs.
- Maintain procurement records.
