SEO Content Editor

Job Summary:
The SEO Content Editor manages and optimizes written content for CoolStuffInc.com (and other associated brands) to align with internal editorial standards and search engine optimization best practices. This role supports content performance, maintains site structure, and contributes to ongoing SEO strategy and content development.

Location:
This is a fully remote position

Responsibilities:

• Edit articles to align with internal style guidelines and SEO best practices
• Publish, update, and otherwise maintain content within CMS
• Create content briefs for freelance writing team
• Write and refine SEO elements, including titles, meta descriptions, and other ancillary metadata
• Maintain internal linking structure
• Stay up to date on trading card game news, with a focus on Magic: The Gathering
• Assist with research, performance tracking, and analytics to continually refine strategy
• Collaborate on SEO strategy and act as a point of contact for content ideation and optimization opportunities

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of on-page SEO principles
• Experience using WordPress or similar CMS
• High attention to detail, particularly in copy editing
• 2-3 years experience in a content-focused SEO role preferred
• Interest in or knowledge of trading card games, especially Magic: The Gathering, is highly recommended but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• High commitment to communication and collaboration with other team members and departments

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
