The Role
We're looking for a results-obsessed SEO Manager to lead and execute organic search strategies across our client portfolio. You'll own everything from technical audits and on-page optimization to content strategy and link building — while mentoring a team and keeping clients informed, confident, and retained.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to both strategize and execute, not just manage from a spreadsheet.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute tailored SEO strategies for clients across multiple industries and markets (local, national, and international).
- Conduct thorough technical SEO audits and prioritize fixes that move the needle — crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, schema markup, and more.
- Lead on-page optimization including keyword mapping, meta data, internal linking, content structure, and page-level targeting.
- Build and manage white-hat link acquisition campaigns — outreach, digital PR, guest posting, and niche edits.
- Develop content briefs and collaborate with content writers to produce search-optimized, topical authority content.
Analytics & Reporting
- Set up and maintain SEO tracking across Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and rank tracking tools.
- Deliver clear, client-ready monthly reports that connect SEO activity to business outcomes (traffic, leads, revenue).
- Monitor algorithm updates, assess impact on client rankings, and adapt strategies accordingly.
Client Management
- Act as the SEO point of contact for assigned clients — leading calls, communicating strategy, and managing expectations.
- Identify upsell opportunities (content expansion, new keyword clusters, technical improvements) and work with BD to execute them.
Team & Process
- Manage and mentor junior SEO executives and content team members.
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repeatable SEO workflows.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and bring new tactics and tools into the team's playbook.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of SEO experience, with at least 1 year in an agency environment managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proven track record of ranking competitive keywords and growing organic traffic — bring your case studies.
- Deep expertise in technical SEO: log file analysis, crawl budget management, structured data, canonical tags, hreflang, and page speed optimization.
- Strong command of SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, Google Search Console, GA4.
- Experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of how SEO intersects with paid search, web development, and conversion rate optimization.
- Strong written English — capable of writing or editing content briefs and client reports without heavy oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball on client deliverables.
Nice to Have
- Experience with international SEO (US/UK markets specifically).
- Knowledge of WordPress, Shopify, or other common CMS platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and basic HTML/CSS.
- Experience working in a fast-paced agency with 10+ active client accounts.
- Background in a specific vertical: e-commerce, SaaS, healthcare, real estate, or local services.
