Join the new Doppio Zero in the soon to be open downtown Walnut Creek location. In the Server role, you will deliver exceptional service for our guests and elevate their visit. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and hospitality skills will ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and eager to return. Whether managing food and beverage orders or creating memorable moments, you’ll be a vital part of our vibrant restaurant environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your food service expertise while working in a lively atmosphere that celebrates fine dining and guest satisfaction.

We will host a job fair on May 6th from 11:30am to 6pm at our sister restaurant in the Veranda, while DZ Walnut Creek is in its final stages of construction and design. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems ensuring quick and precise entry
• Do not be just an "order taker" Upsell menu items to enhance guest experiences and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and preparation as needed
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices
• Ensure food safety standards are upheld through proper sanitation practices and food handling procedures
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Support team members with basic math for cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments accurately

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Toast POS systems; experience with 7shifts and OpenTable are advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and transaction processing
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a restaurant setting
