Lucile's is an American restaurant in The Continental Hotel, a historic boutique hotel. Named one of Iowa's Top 10 Burgers in both 2024 and and 2020, Lucile's is hiring a Server to join our team. It is a great place to work if you're passionate about serving food and drink to travelers staying at The Continental Hotel as well as locals who have enjoyed our restaurant for over 20 years.

Servers

We are looking for an energetic server to provide an excellent guest experience. Compensation includes salary and tips.

Have great people and organizational skills? But don't have serving experience? That's okay! We're happy to train.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Prep food and drink stations and supplies
• Follow all food handling and beverage service laws and policies.
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons when no bartender on shift.
• Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand, lift, move quickly, learn by doing and use an iPad
• Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Pay

Base pay for servers is $5.90. After tips, servers can expect to see average take-home pay of $12-$18/hour.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $18.00 per hour
