Server Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to manage and support our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience with strong expertise in Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms such as VMware and Nutanix, and working knowledge of public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server environments.
• Install, configure, and monitor Windows Server OS and services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Administer and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware ESXi/vCenter and Nutanix AHV/Prism.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and backups as part of regular maintenance.
• Plan and implement server and virtualization solutions to support business needs.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT teams for deployment, integration, and support of enterprise applications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with IT security standards and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in server administration and virtualization.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere/vCenter and Nutanix AHV.
• Familiar with server monitoring, logging, and backup tools (e.g., Veeam, SolarWinds).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in hybrid cloud or cloud migration projects.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
