Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS
• Process cash and card transactions efficiently
• Prepare and serve food items, ensuring proper handling and food safety standards are upheld
• Maintain a clean workspace by bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and managing sanitation protocols
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote specials or new offerings effectively
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with basic food preparation when needed
• Manage customer orders through food service customer order management systems, ensuring timely delivery
• Support retail sales transactions for merchandise or packaged food items as required
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout all areas of the restaurant or café

Qualifications

• Previous experience in casual dining is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS is a plus
• Strong food handling knowledge and understanding of food safety management practices
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently
• Proven ability in customer service, with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a culinary environment is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Food industry experience including serving, bussing, sanitation, and cashiering roles enhances your fit for this position

Pay: From $2.13 per hour
