Server/Bartender

Server Responsibilities (subject but not limited to the following):

• Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Help guests select food and beverages by presenting suggestions from the menu, offering cocktails, explaining the chef's specials, and answering food preparation questions
• Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
• Stay updated on current menu choices/specials and knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
• Be alert by responding to additional guest needs and observing dining process
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed and refilling beverage glasses
• Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting guests to return
• Obtain cash or credit card payment by issuing the bill, accepting payment, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Provide welcoming phone greetings
• Convey menu information over the phone to guests and give accurate estimation of meal time completion
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Fill in for absent staff as needed
• Assist with special events as needed
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management
• Skills and Requirements:
• At least 6 months previous serving experience required, 1+ years preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Knowledge on proper timing between course meals is a plus
• No education required

Additional for Bartender (subject but not limited to the following):

-Must be at least 21 years old
-Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
-Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks

-Beer & Wine knowledge or willingness to learn
-Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
-Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
-Re-stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
-Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
-Comply with all food and beverage regulations
-Able to work in a high-stress and fast environment
-Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
-Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
-Must possess a positive, vibrant personality and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Must be available to work off-site events if needed
