Service Associate I/II (Teller)

Job Title: Service Associate I
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Retail
Hours: Varies by branch location, Saturdays by rotation
General Job Summary:
To complete face-to-face customer banking transactions, sell and cross-sell bank products and services, and provide exceptional customer service.
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify our 212 commitment to service
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, cash checks and balance a cash drawer
  • Cash checks following check cashing policy
  • Sell official checks
  • Process and balance teller work through image capture
  • Consultative Selling – Engaging customers and prospects to uncover needs and offer solutions
  • Assist with beginning, end of day and other operational duties as needed
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
Working Conditions: Work on teller line, which will require long periods of standing
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience: Customer contact and cash handling experience
Specific Skills:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Good math skills
  • PC proficient

General Job Summary:
To complete face-to-face customer banking transactions, sell and cross-sell bank products and services, and provide exceptional customer service. Provide customer service by opening accounts, selling bank products, and assisting customers with questions concerning accounts.
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify our 212 commitment to service
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, cash checks and balance a cash drawer
  • Cash checks following check cashing policy
  • Sell official checks
  • Process and balance teller work through image capture
  • Consultative Selling – Engaging customers and prospects to uncover needs and offer solutions
  • Open new accounts and perform account maintenance
  • Retain and expand customer relationships
  • Process and close loan request (If loan trained)
  • Assist customers with questions and/or concerns
  • Assist with beginning, end of day and other operational duties as needed
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
Working Conditions: Work on teller line, which could require long periods of standing and/or at a desk
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience: Customer contact and cash handling experience, Banking experience preferred
