Service Engineer

Location: UAE
Salary: AED 8,000 – 9,000
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or equivalent (BE/BTech)
Experience: 4 – 5 years in Water & Wastewater Treatment Industry
Driving License: Preferred but not mandatory

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Service Engineer with experience in water and wastewater treatment systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for project execution, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and client coordination for various water treatment technologies while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

• Manage project execution and site activities for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients regarding site readiness and project schedules.
• Raise RFIs and coordinate approvals with consultants upon completion of installation and commissioning.

Commissioning & Maintenance

• Commission, operate, and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems including:
• Clarifiers
• Filtration Systems
• Softeners
• UV Systems
• Ultrafiltration (UF)
• Reverse Osmosis (RO)
• EDI & DM Plants
• Aeration Systems
• MBBR & MBR Systems
• STP & TSE Polishing Systems
• Optimize plant performance to achieve design specifications.
• Diagnose process-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot water treatment processes and equipment.
• Commission and troubleshoot dosing systems, controllers, pumps, and sensors.
• Program and interface controllers with BMS and SCADA systems.
• Work with Ethernet/IP communication systems.
• Calibrate instruments and sensors including PTSA, ORP, Turbidity, Fluorometers, and Online Corrators.
• Monitor corrosion coupons and biological control programs.

Water Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct water quality testing and analysis.
• Prepare:
• Monthly O&M Reports
• AMC Service Reports
• Water Analysis Reports
• Production & Chemical Consumption Reports
• Survey site conditions and provide recommendations to the sales team before project bidding.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Understand client expectations and ensure service excellence.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Apply and close work permits as required.
• Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments (TRA), and Checklists.
• Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies.
• Promote safe work practices and proper use of PPE at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BE/BTech) in Engineering or equivalent.
• Water Treatment certifications will be an advantage.

Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of water chemistry and water analysis.
• Experience with RO, UF, EDI, DM, MBBR, MBR, STP, and TSE systems.
• Familiarity with P&ID, piping layouts, and isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of BMS, SCADA, Ethernet/IP communication systems.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Added Advantage

• Water treatment chemical treatment knowledge.
• Experience in cooling water, boiler water, chilled water, wastewater, swimming pool water, and domestic water treatment applications.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
