Service Manager/Dispatcher

Lamey Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly organized, technically proficient Service Manager/Dispatcher to lead our service department. This dual-role position is the heartbeat of our daily operations. You will be responsible for translating customer needs into actionable work orders, managing our team of service technicians, and ensuring that every job—from residential repairs, commercial electrical maintenance, to specialized generator maintenance—is executed with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Dispatching & Logistics

* Scheduling

* Coordinate and assign daily service calls to technicians based on skill level, location, and urgency.

* Route Optimization: Minimize travel time and maximize productivity for field crews across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

* Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for incoming service requests, providing professional communication and accurate arrival windows.

* Generator Service Coordination: Oversee the logistics of all generator service work, including routine maintenance contracts and emergency repairs.

* Warranty Processing: Act as the primary liaison for manufacturers (e.g., Generac, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton); submit warranty claims, document failures, and ensure timely reimbursement.

* Inventory & Parts Ordering: Proactively manage parts inventory for common generator failures and handle special orders to minimize downtime for customers.

* Service Management: Provide over-the-phone guidance to field technicians to help troubleshoot complex electrical and generator issues.

* Safety Leadership: Enforce strict adherence to NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA standards.

* Documentation: Ensure all job site safety assessments and reports are completed accurately by the field staff.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years in the electrical trade (Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred).

* Generator Expertise: Proven experience with generator service logistics, warranty portals, and parts identification.

* Management: At least 2 years in a supervisory or dispatching role within a trade industry.

* Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Biloxi/Gulfport area and Mississippi building codes.

* Communication: Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
