Shading and Lighting Project Associate

Job Summary

A.B.E. Networks is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shading and Lighting Project Associate to support our growing Design Division. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Division Manager to coordinate and oversee projects involving automated window treatments, lighting design, and fixture integration for high-end residential and commercial spaces.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in design, project management, or construction coordination who is eager to build expertise in lighting and shading systems within luxury environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shading and lighting projects from design through completion under the guidance of the Division Manager.
• Review project plans, schedules, and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent and client goals.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress, accuracy, and quality of installations.
• Communicate project updates to clients, designers, builders, and internal teams.
• Manage documentation including proposals, drawings, change orders, and closeout materials.
• Assist with product selections, pricing, and order tracking.
• Collaborate with other A.B.E. Networks departments (AV, networking, automation) to ensure seamless integration across systems.
• Maintain an organized workflow and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in project management, interior design, construction coordination, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with design or project software a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (preferred).
• Comfortable working on active job sites and interacting with clients and trades.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
