Job Description
Do you catch the details others miss, stay organized under pressure, and learn new tasks quickly? We are looking for a multitasker who can confidently manage priorities. Job duties include: Process and review documents, records or other forms of information for quality and accuracy. Enters data into VCIN/NCIC computer systems and performs back up of records. Retrieves information from VCIN/NCIC computer systems; prepares routine reports, special reports or other documents. Picks up warrants from the Courts and Magistrate Office. Assists customers, clients, other staff, or outside agencies to resolve problems by researching information, answering telephone inquiries and providing other assistance. Coordinate and evaluate extradition requests. Performs record and warrant checks for the office. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in office technology, information systems, or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of three months of related, full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Special skills or equipment certification may be required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
