Our client is looking for someone organized and proactive to take ownership of the warehouse and who has shipping experience operating the common shipping platforms. This role will ultimately cross train into the parts department.

They are looking for a reliable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their growing team!
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
What does a typical day look like?
Review the previous afternoon shipments, using Fedex Ship Manager, USMail, UPS and sometimes DHL. Boxing up and shipping out inventory. Help monitor the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments; reject or report damaged or missing items
- Pack and ship marine parts and products accurately and efficiently
- Operate forklifts, lift trucks, and hand trucks to move materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking through system updates and physical counts
- Evaluate shipping carriers and options for cost-effectiveness and reliability
- Take photos and report poor packaging from vendors to management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marine parts and participate in product training
- Engage with customers courteously and professionally, in person or via phone, text, and email
- Support promotional efforts and encourage positive customer reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google
- Contribute to documentation systems for continuity and cross-training within the team
Work Environment
- Fast-paced marine parts warehouse
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, and airborne particles
- Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, lifting, and operating equipment
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime during busy seasons
