Job Description-

Key Responsibilities

Order Management: Track, prioritize, and route outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Documentation: Prepare, manage, and process critical shipping documents like bills of lading, pick slips, and advanced shipping notices (ASNs).
Carrier Coordination: Negotiate rates with shipping carriers, select appropriate carriers, and build strong relationships with them.
Logistics & Operations: Oversee the physical movement of goods, including packaging, loading, and storage, to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise shipping department employees, ensuring they follow procedures and company policies.
Budget Management: Control shipping and distribution budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with relevant shipping, import, and export regulations and company policies.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational, logistical, and maintenance issues to prevent delays and minimize costs.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient material flow.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for improving the shipping process, setting targets, and monitoring performance using KPIs.
