Short-Form Video Editor + Content Capture Contractor (On-Site, 1099)

We’re looking for a skilled video production contractor to support our on-site content workflow.

Ideally, this person can handle both filming raw footage and editing finished videos, with editing being the primary focus of the role.

This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement.
This is not an employee position.

About the Role

Our main priority is producing TikTok short-form vertical video content.

We are ideally looking for someone who can:

• Film raw footage on-site for TikTok content
• Edit that footage into finalized TikTok videos
• Follow a repeatable editing process that matches our internal content standards

While filming is part of the role, editing is the higher priority.

Editing Review / QA Process

Because editing quality and consistency matter, we will need to review the editing process multiple times as part of quality assurance and SOP alignment.

This review can be done by screen recording your editing software while you work, so we can confirm that the editing process is being followed correctly.

To be clear:

• The review is focused only on the editing software during the editing process
• No other screens need to be recorded

This helps us maintain consistency, quality, and adherence to our editing workflow.

Work Location

This role is in person at our office.

We provide an on-site workstation, including computer and editing software, and all content files remain on-site as part of our production workflow.

Where possible, the setup can be aligned with the contractor’s preferred editing workflow.

Scope of Work

Initial project work may include:

• Filming raw TikTok footage on-site
• Editing TikTok videos from raw footage
• Delivering completed batches of TikTok content
• Following project briefs, content direction, and editing SOPs

As projects expand, scope may include additional filming sessions or larger content batches.

All work is assigned and approved on a project basis or through a Statement of Work (SOW).

Tools & Workflow

• CapCut is preferred, since our SOPs are built around it
• Other editing software may be acceptable if you are highly proficient
• You should be comfortable working within a defined content process and receiving multiple rounds of review related to workflow and quality

Compensation

Indeed requires an hourly range to be shown, but this engagement is project-based and tied to deliverables, not guaranteed hours.

Project scope, timelines, and pricing are defined in advance for each engagement.
