Fixed-Term Elementary School Counselor
AIS-R is looking for an Elementary School Educator with Social-Emotional-Learning (SEL) experience for short-term cover of an ES Counseling role.
The educator must be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
Guidance
-
Offer individual counsel to students with social and emotional concerns which interfere with their optimum learning, (i.e. transitions, peer relations, behavior issues).

Act as a resource for parents and/or provide counseling on child development concerns/issues and parenting approaches.

Act as a resource for staff on child development issues and provide support.

Offer support groups such as friendship groups or social skills groups.

Honor Child Protection roles, responsibilities, procedures, protocols, and guidelines as outlined in the Child Protection Handbook to ensure the protection and well-being of every child.

Transition new students/families.
Counseling Special
-
Review, revise and implement guidance curriculum.

Provide guidance lessons to designated grade levels.
Support Services
-
Participate in Child Study Team meetings.

Participate in Academic, Behavior, and Counseling meetings as directed by ES Administration.
Communication
-
Attend and/or request parent meetings as requested.

Complete and file incident reports accordingly.
Compensation And Work Hours
Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00pm Tuesdays)
Compensation: Follows
Long-Term Substitute
daily rates at 500 SAR/600 SAR (licensed educator with Master’s Degree) and transportation allowance.
