Position: Show/Event Coordinator
Wize Home Services, a premier General Contractor in Hickory, NC, specializing in residential home improvement, is seeking an energetic and highly organized Show/Event Coordinator to help manage our showroom presence and represent the company at local festivals and events. This role is crucial for generating leads, enhancing brand visibility, and driving growth in the Hickory and surrounding markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent and Festival Coordination (70%)
- Planning & Logistics: Identify, research, and book participation in relevant local events, festivals, home shows, and trade exhibitions throughout the Hickory/Western NC region.
- Setup & Management: Coordinate all aspects of event booth setup and breakdown, including transporting materials, arranging displays, ensuring necessary power/connectivity, and maintaining a professional appearance.
- Brand Promotion: Act as a brand ambassador at all events, engaging with the public, explaining Wize Home Services' offerings (roofing, siding, decking, fencing, gutters, insulation, bathrooms, and more), and communicating our commitment to quality.
- Lead Generation: Implement effective strategies to capture high-quality sales leads and contact information from interested homeowners.
- Post-Event Follow-up: Ensure all generated leads are accurately documented and promptly submitted to the marketing team for follow-up.
Showroom Management (30%)
- Client Interface: Staff the Hickory showroom during scheduled hours (which may include evenings or weekends) to greet walk-in clients, answer initial inquiries, and provide tours of samples and materials.
- Aesthetics & Inventory: Maintain the showroom's cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal. Manage inventory of promotional materials, brochures, and samples.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule appointments for potential clients with Sales Consultants or Project Managers based on their specific needs.
- Data Entry: Accurately log all walk-in traffic and lead details into the company CRM system.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in event coordination, marketing, brand promotion, or retail/showroom management, preferably within the home services, construction, or a related industry.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to comfortably and enthusiastically engage with diverse groups of people. A strong, professional presence is required.
- Organization & Detail: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing complex logistics, timelines, and budgets.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and assist with the physical setup and breakdown of event displays.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and basic Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
- Availability: Must have flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, which are required for most major events and festivals.
- Travel: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are mandatory, as travel to local event venues is a core function of the role.
