About the Role


To lead the multidiscipline project team and responsible for the overall management of the project site (Shutdown and Retrofit projects) to which assigned such that the contractual requirements and obligations are fulfilled, in accordance with drawings and specifications and all work is completed within the safety goals set for the project, within budget, and within schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Read and understand the contract carefully to identify all potential risks and establish the approach to mitigate those risks by planning out preventive measures.
  • Plan, define, verify and control the scope of all the projects in order to ensure that projects include all the work required and only the work required. Identify, document and charge any extra work (which was not included in the original scope) to client.
  • Supervise Planning and FEDC at all sites in order to ensure that it is used as a tool for controlling construction activities and related operating efficacy of the project and human resources.
  • Ensure execution of all the projects as per plan while taking corrective actions when required, in order to complete the project within time and budget.
  • Estimate the cost of projects, and ensure that all the resources (including HR, materials, and equipment & plant) necessary for execution are within stipulated budget allocated to the project in order to control the cost of the project.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience in Refineries and Oil & Gas plant Maintenance as a Shutdown Manager.
  • 5 years as a Shutdown Manager from the Contractor side and involving at least manpower of 1000+ persons as a single team.
