Sign Shop Graphic Designer / Production Specialist (Customer-Facing)

Epic Signs is a full-service sign and graphics company specializing in storefront signage, channel letters, vehicle wraps, window graphics, and large-format printing.

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on team member who can manage customers, create production-ready designs, and assist with vinyl application and shop workflow.

This is NOT a beginner design role — we need someone who understands real sign shop production from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, walk-in customers, and quote basic jobs
• Understand customer needs and recommend signage solutions
• Design layouts for:
• Storefront signs
• Channel letters
• Window graphics
• Banners & large format prints
• Prepare print-ready files (proper scale, bleed, resolution)
• Operate or assist with:
• Large format printers
• Vinyl plotters
• Laminators
• Weed, mask, and apply vinyl graphics
• Assist with basic installs when needed
• Manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines

Requirements (READ CAREFULLY)

• Experience working in a sign shop, print shop, or wrap shop
• Strong knowledge of:
• Adobe Illustrator (REQUIRED)
• CorelDraw (Preferred)
• Photoshop (preferred)
• Understanding of:
• Vinyl cutting & application
• Large format printing
• File setup for production
• Comfortable speaking with customers (in-person & phone)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Big Plus)

• Experience with vehicle wraps or wall wraps
• Knowledge of channel letters or illuminated signage
• Experience with CorelDRAW
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Not a Fit If:

• You only design logos/social media graphics
• You have no real production or print experience
• You are not comfortable speaking with customers
