RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Documentation & Compliance
- Review and update maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Monitor adherence to maintenance procedures and documentation standards.
- Ensure technical documentation is aligned with international railway safety and operational standards.
Asset & System Management
- Track and improve the reliability and availability of signaling and CC assets.
- Oversee the proper configuration and documentation of contract assets.
- Identify, classify, and manage assets within the project scope.
- Define tools and testing methodologies required for asset management.
- Develop asset lifecycle plans in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Lead implementation of asset criticality analysis to optimize preventive maintenance.
Technical Support & Investigations
- Lead technical investigations and root cause analyses.
- Provide technical documentation and operational support to the production team.
- Support commissioning teams during testing and validation of signaling systems.
- Liaise with OEMs for escalated technical troubleshooting or upgrades.
Strategy, Planning & Reporting
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, asset management, and service plans.
- Advise on future maintenance requirements and strategic improvements.
- Prepare and deliver weekly reports on service-impacting failures.
- Generate performance dashboards for key signaling KPIs.
- Contribute to risk assessments and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) planning.
System Integration & CMMS
- Assist with setup and continuous updates of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure system configuration reflects field conditions and asset status.
- Drive CMMS data quality and user training for accurate work order tracking.
Standards & Audits
- Participate in ISO management reviews (9001, 14001, 45001, 55001).
- Lead internal audits on signaling documentation and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed with sustainable corrective actions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong background in Signaling and Communication Control (CC).
- Proficiency in maintenance documentation and review processes.
- Solid understanding of railway systems and safety culture.
- Familiarity with Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and maintenance production processes.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS), such as Maximo.
- Team management experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Signaling and Communication Control within the railway, metro, or LRT industry.
