Site EHS officer

• Implement and monitor compliance with site-specific HSE plans, procedures, and client safety standards during shutdown activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers, subcontractors, and supervisors.
• Carry out daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions; recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper issuance and control of Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, including confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, and working at height.
• Monitor turbine-related activities (lifting, dismantling, confined space entry, chemical handling, etc.) to ensure compliance with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS/JSA).
• Coordinate with site supervisors and contractors to enforce safe work practices and use of PPE.
• Report near misses, incidents, and accidents; conduct initial investigations and assist in preparing incident reports with corrective and preventive measures.
• Verify readiness of emergency response arrangements, including firefighting, first aid, and evacuation plans.
• Liaise with client representatives, auditors, and regulatory authorities during inspections.
• Maintain proper documentation such as inspection checklists, safety reports, and daily/weekly HSE statistics.
• Implementation of Siemens EHS Policies, Guidelines and Principles at the project site.
• On time reporting of EHS related reports to the back-office manager.
• Conducting inspection of tools tackles, equipment, Hand tools and power tools of contractors.
• Conducting inspection of customer’s special lifting tools & tackle’s , EOT crane & Isolation before start of work.
• Conducting site walkdown along site contractor & Siemens site manager.
• Carry out site and contractor assessment as per Siemens guideline.

Desirable Qualification : Diploma/Degree in Safety/EHS from Govt. approved Institute and B.Sc /B.Tech in any Field from recognized University

Experience - Significant experience in construction, Power plant, manufacturing, engineering, or project management
