Site Electrical Engineer ( TAQA Competent)

Job Summary ; The Site Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all electrical works of assigned projects (Substation, pumping station and industrial projects), ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, authority regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and Execute electrical works including LV systems, Lighting, small power, Switchgears, Generator, motors, earthing grid. Lightning protection, street lighting and ELV systems.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Plan project activities, manpower deployment, and material requirements in line with project schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and local authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and international standards. Lead and coordinate site supervisors, subcontractors, and technicians.
• Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports, technical clarifications, and correspondence.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and QA/QC procedures.
• Control project costs, minimize wastage, and support quantity verification and variations.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final handover of electrical systems.
• Review as-built drawings and close-out documentation.
• Participate in inspections with ADDC, Civil Defense, and other authorities for system approvals
• Organize and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests
• (SAT) for automation and electrical systems.
• Prepare system test reports, punch lists, and ensure closure of all deficiencies before
• Project handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• ADDQC Approved Electrical Engineer
• TAQA Transmission LV Competent person
• ADM Engineering license Card
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations and standards (ADDC, AADC, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Equivalency Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education – mandatory
• FEWA approved Electrical Engineer
