Site Engineer

Dome Engineering is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer to supervise construction activities on-site on behalf of the consulting firm or client.

The successful candidate will ensure that all works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Monitoring

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship quality.
• Verify site progress against the approved project schedule.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Inspect materials delivered to site.
• Review and approve shop drawings and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and issue inspection reports.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate between client, contractor, and design team.
• Attend site meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
• Clarify technical queries and issue site instructions when required.
• Report project progress and issues to the Project Manager or Resident Engineer.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site records and reports.
• Review contractor invoices and progress claims.
• Monitor variations and assist in evaluating change orders.
• Maintain records of inspections, test results, and approvals.

5. Health & Safety Compliance

• Ensure contractor adherence to site safety regulations.
• Report unsafe practices and violations.
• Participate in safety inspections and audits.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of site supervision experience (depending on project scale).
• Previous experience with engineering consultancy or supervision consultants preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and standards.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
