Job Title: Site Engineer – Firefighting Systems (Mechanical)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Site Engineer to supervise the installation and commissioning of firefighting systems for onshore and offshore projects within the UAE. The ideal candidate will ensure all activities comply with UAE Civil Defense regulations, UAE Labor Law, and project-specific HSE and quality requirements, including ADNOC specifications when applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily site activities related to mechanical firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with UAE Civil Defense codes, NFPA standards, and approved shop drawings.
- Ensure all work is executed in line with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) labor regulations, including worker welfare and site safety.
- Enforce strict compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice, ADNOC standards (where applicable), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems on both onshore and offshore projects.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, Civil Defense officials, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
- Review and inspect installations of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, FM-200/Novec suppression systems, valves, fire-rated piping, and fittings to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), assist in Civil Defense inspections, and follow up for approvals and authority clearances.
- Maintain proper documentation, including daily site reports, material inspections, ITPs, red-marked drawings, and progress schedules.
- Monitor site safety in compliance with UAE HSE legal frameworks, ensuring workers wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover phases, ensuring all works meet quality and legal standard.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in mechanical firefighting system execution.
- Demonstrated experience working with UAE Civil Defense, including preparation of documents for approvals and final inspections.
- Good knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and ADNOC HSE and quality requirements for oil & gas projects.
- Experience in handling onshore and offshore firefighting projects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and external authorities.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
