Site / Project Engineer – Civil (Substations)

Job Purpose

To supervise and execute civil construction activities for high-voltage substations (HV/MV), ensuring all works are completed according to approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role involves site supervision, contractor coordination, quality control, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage civil construction activities for substation infrastructure including:
• Foundations for power transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, and other electrical equipment.
• Ensure all civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure work progress aligns with project milestones.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site labor during construction activities.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure civil readiness for equipment installation.
• Work closely with design engineers to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Attend project meetings including progress, technical, and safety meetings.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant civil construction standards and project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in power projects or substations
• Experience in substation civil works, power plants, or infrastructure projects is preferred
