Role Definition

The Site Sourcing Manager (SSM) / Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is accountable for sourcing, quality, execution, and cost management in the Americas Supply Chain for direct and indirect purchased components in support of the Turbofab Operations which are required to be integrated with Solar Turbines industrial gas turbine packages.

This position reports directly to the Americas Supply Chain Area Manager and is accountable for the execution of the site sourcing strategy. The position collaborates with Global Supply Chain Managers as well as Business Unit Managers to create a competitive advantage for our customers and the enterprise by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world-class supply base.

The SCM will maintain and promote the highest level of professionalism, business ethics and engagement, while developing and maintaining relationships with internal clients, key suppliers, provide coaching and development opportunities for direct reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the enterprise and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Principle accountabilities of this position include but are not limited to: Sourcing Execution and Management, Supply Base Management, Procurement, Contract Management, Negotiation and Cost Management

Commodities can include but not limited to: Structural Steel, Pipe / Flanges / Fittings, Electrical and Instrumentation, Hardware, Outside Services, Indirect materials including MRO, Utilities and other facility support.

Reporting directly to this position are approximately five to ten supply chain professionals which can include Sourcing Specialists, Buyers, Supplier Technical Engineers and Supply Chain Coordinators.

This position will be based in Channelview, TX and may require business travel from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree

• International Sourcing or related experience

• Strong Negotiation, Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Demonstrated Success in Leadership & Employee Development

• 5 Years of Procurement or related experience
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management

• Solar Turbines Product and Balance of Plant (BoP) technical knowledge

• Experience Engaging Customers and/or Business Partners from Diverse Cultures

Summary Pay Range:

$125,925.00 - $188,887.00
