Job Title: Site Supervisor – Construction

Location: Porur, Chennai.

Reports To: Project Manager / Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and responsible Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities. The ideal candidate will ensure work quality, safety compliance, coordination across teams, and smooth execution in line with project plans and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on site and ensure work is executed as per approved plans and specifications.
• Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and identify safety hazards.
• Report progress, issues, and site requirements to Project Manager / Site Engineer.
• Maintain accurate records of daily work, manpower, material usage, and site logs.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and tools are on site and used efficiently.
• Help plan daily work schedules and monitor progress against timelines.
• Support problem-solving of on-site challenges and escalate critical issues promptly.
• Ensure site housekeeping, site access controls, and worker discipline.

Qualifications

• Any Graduate (in any discipline) or Diploma (Civil/Construction/related).
• Prior experience in construction site supervision is preferred but freshers with strong skills may be considered.
• Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage labor teams.
• Able to read basic drawings, handle reports, and communicate with stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements

• Own a bike / two-wheeler for site commute.
• Valid driving license.
• Willingness to work on-site.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Basic computer literacy (Email, WhatsApp, reporting tools).
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Work Conditions

• On-site role with frequent field movement.
• PPE and safety compliance required.
• Coordination with site workers across shifts when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
