Job Summary
The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily site activities, managing manpower, ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings and project specifications, and maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role requires close coordination with engineers, subcontractors, clients, and workers to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise daily construction, fabrication, and erection activities on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project targets.
- Identify site issues and report them to the Project Engineer for resolution.
- Ensure proper execution of structural steel erection, fabrication, cladding, façade, and related activities where applicable.
Manpower Management
- Allocate work responsibilities to foremen and workers.
- Monitor workforce productivity and maintain discipline on site.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and work briefings.
- Maintain attendance records and daily manpower reports.
- Ensure sufficient manpower availability to meet project requirements.
Quality Control
- Verify work quality before consultant/client inspections.
- Ensure works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Assist engineers in closing quality observations and rectification works.
- Report any deviations or non-conformance issues immediately.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce company safety policies and site regulations.
- Ensure workers use proper PPE at all times.
- Monitor lifting activities, work-at-height operations, and other high-risk activities.
- Report unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
- Participate in safety meetings and inspections.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, and Safety Officers.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for smooth site operations.
- Prepare daily progress reports and update work status.
- Attend site meetings when required.
- Track material requirements and coordinate with the procurement/store team.
Documentation
- Maintain daily site records and activity logs.
- Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
- Assist in preparing progress reports and site documentation.
- Ensure all site activities are properly documented and reported.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Technical certification in construction supervision is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in construction, steel structure, PEB, façade, fit-out, or industrial projects.
- GCC/UAE/KSA experience preferred.
- Experience supervising large site manpower teams.
- Knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, and safety requirements.
