#### Position Overview:

The Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding processes, including MIG and TIG welding. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to ensure the integrity and quality of the final product.

#### Key Responsibilities:

- **Welding Operations:** Perform welding operations using MIG and TIG welding techniques on various metals.

- **Blueprint Interpretation:** Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.

- **Material Preparation:** Prepare and align metal parts and components for welding, including cutting and fitting.

- **Quality Control:** Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications; make necessary adjustments.

- **Maintenance:** Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in good condition; report any malfunctions or safety concerns.

- **Safety Compliance:** Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- **Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

#### Qualifications:

- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; welding program completion preferred.

- **Experience:** Some welding experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.

- **Certifications:** Welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are a plus but not required.

- **Skills:**

- Basic proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.
