Slaughterhouse Manager

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all slaughterhouse operations, including slaughtering, cutting, deboning, and packing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and animal welfare laws.
  • Oversee and train staff to follow proper techniques, health, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor production targets, quality control, and efficiency of processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, veterinary inspectors, and government agencies to maintain compliance.
  • Implement and enforce workplace health & safety procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Manage inventory, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Prepare reports on production, staff performance, and operational improvements.
  • Handle staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  • Control operational costs and optimize resource usage.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in slaughterhouse/meat processing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
  • Leadership and management skills with experience supervising large teams.
  • Ability to handle pressure and make quick operational decisions.
  • Physically fit and accustomed to working in demanding environments.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Meat Processing, or related field (preferred).
