Job Summary
Responsible for advanced design, configuration, and operational support of IP/MPLS networks in multi-vendor environments. Ensures reliable network performance, synchronization, redundancy, and cybersecurity compliance. Provides deep technical expertise in IP/MPLS technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EVPN, MPLS, multicast, and QoS, and serves as the primary escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues across Huawei, Nokia, and Cisco platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and optimize IP/MPLS network architectures, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN, LDP, SR-TE, multicast, QoS, VPNs and redundancy schemes.
- Configure, deploy, and manage Network Management Systems (NMS) across Huawei, Nokia, and Cisco environments for performance monitoring, fault management, and configuration control.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and network performance optimization.
- Act as the primary escalation point for all critical IP/MPLS network issues and ensure timely restoration and service continuity.
- Plan and validate synchronization, timing, and high-availability configurations across the network.
- Support migration activities from legacy SDH/PDH to IP/MPLS networks.
- Implement and enforce network cybersecurity measures (IEC 62443, NIST, MACSec, IPsec).
- Conduct and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), integration tests, and post-deployment verification.
- Mentor and support network engineers and commissioning teams on IP/MPLS design, configuration, and troubleshooting best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or Electrical/Telecom Engineering.
- Deep practical expertise in service provider IP/MPLS networks, SR-TE, QoS, VPNs, multicast and multi-vendor networks (Huawei, Cisco, Nokia).
- Strong hands-on experience with NMS configuration, alarm management, SNMP, and network monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of synchronization, redundancy, high-availability, and telecom cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and coordination skills to resolve high-impact network issues.
- UAE driving license is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IP/MPLS network design, deployment, and operations for service provider or large-scale enterprise networks.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Huawei IP/MPLS networks, including routing, VPN services, BGP, EVPN, multicast, SR, OSPF and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults in Huawei, Nokia, and Cisco IP/MPLS networks.
- Experience leading FAT, integration testing, and post-deployment validation in multi-vendor network environments.
- Recognized for strong technical leadership and operational expertise in Huawei IP/MPLS platforms.7+ years of experience in telecom network design, deployment, and operations for IP/MPLS or similar carrier networks.
