SMERF Sales Manager

Position: SMERF Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented SMERF Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing sales for sports, military, educational, religious, and fraternal groups (SMERF) within the hospitality industry. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies targeting SMERF market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including planners and decision-makers in social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal organizations.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the SMERF segments.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create tailored promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote our offerings and establish connections.
  • Manage and track sales leads, forecasts, and reports to ensure targets are met.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • 18 months of sales experience in the hospitality industry (hotel or resort), with a focus on SMERF segments preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of various discipline-focused computer programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, PMS, Delphi
  • Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge and customer contacts in the preferred corporate and/or luxury leisure markets.

This position does require in-office availability, located in Albuquerque, NM

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
