SME's Credit Risk Analyst /SME Senior Credit Risk Analyst

1.JOB PURPOSE:

Assess the creditworthiness of the potential/ existing borrowing SME & BB names. Analysing financial information and market date and based on this information conduct a recommendation to the senior risk managers. Recommending facility structure the best suits the borrowing names and serve ADIBE rights. Communicating with different stakeholders at ADIBE and gather the non-financial date to predict patterns and trends. Assist the Underwriting team leader/Senior Underwriting team leader in managing and overseas the Sizable SME & BB portfolio.

2.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with credit application SME's credit program, policies, target market risk acceptance criteria, and customer selection criteria.
  • Analysing financial information, such as statements, management accounts, and cash flow statements. “Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers' financial status.”
  • Conducting credit applications, including the credit analysis and credit due diligence for all the credit files and credit limits reviews for existing borrowing names.
  • Making recommendation to the Senior Underwriting managers on cases understudy, annual reviews, and daily transactions.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to existing and prospective clients to assess their business activity, financial performance, and creditworthiness.
  • Comparing liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries.
  • Developing models of credit information to predict patterns and trends.
  • Monitoring Credit portfolios to ensure timely repayment and identify potential risks.
  • Staying up-to-date on market and industry trends that could impact credit risk.
  • Collaborating with other risk unit departments, such as EW, Fraud, Credit administration, credit admin to ensure credit healthiness of the borrowing names.
  • Communicating with SMEs/ BB relationship managers to gather and understanding the borrowing clients’ information.

3.QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education

Post-graduate degree, preferably in finance, business administration, management, economics, or a similar field.

Credit Course is required.

  • Experience

Senior SME Credit Analyst: 3-5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably with Advanced credit course.

SME Credit Analyst: 1-3 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in areas such as investment or commercial banking.

  • Additional Knowledge:

Strong analytical, finance, financial modelling, credit, and transaction structuring skills is an advantage.

Ability to assess the viability of borrowing clients and embedded risks.

Good knowledge of credit approval processes – origination to disbursement.

Excellent critical thinking, analytical and presentation skills, and ability to work with or supervise the use of data utilizing standard office software Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Good writing skills.

Independent judgement.

Ability to contemplate risk & returns.

Work under pressure / Problem Solving.

Highly trustworthy.

Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
